CHOG ZOO NEWS: 27th October 2010

(You may notice that this news update is almost exactly the same as the newsletter content... Well, this month's newsletter came with an introductory video which you can watch HERE or below if you like.)

Welcome back. It’s been a little over a month now methinks, since we last spoke. Reading the Chog Zoo News update, or CZN, as you may have seen some child spray painting it on a bridge, is like being tagged in a picture where you’re clearly more inebriated than your cohorts. At first, you’re a little anxious, nay, even frightened that people might think less of you. You’re reading a letter about cartoons, when you should be working!

But then you look around the room. Go on, just do it. That’s right, other people are wasting their work hours by reading…aha…yours truly. It’s okay. At this point, you look back at that awful picture of you and your mates in the club, and yep, you guessed it. Ho, ho! There’s Janine, in the back, swigging a bottle of Pimm’s. You see? Everybody’s doing it. So lighten up, and check out what the CZ has been doing this month!

Nowt. He he, joke.

Tumblr

Chog Zoo is finally on Tumblr! Aren’t all these little things funny and nice?
“Are you on tumblr?”
“Hmm..tweet me about it”
“I facebooked you yesterday”
“Myspace is telling me otherwise”
“Nobody likes Bebo!”
“LinkedIn hurts my eyes!”

So yeah, if you fancy chiming in on our day-to-day shenanigans and ramblings, head on over to chogzoo.tumblr.com, and you’ll be in for a real good treat!

Insider Magazine’s 42 Under 42

Chog Zoo was recently honoured by being mentioned in Insider Magazine, as two of the 42 Under 42 for the North West. That means that we’re considered to be 2 of the North West’s leading entrepreneurs, or ‘one’s to watch’, as they might say. Heck yes!  If you couldn’t afford the magazine (£8?!?! These business folks eh?!) then you can still see us on the 42 Under 42 list website HERE for free. We give you the best deals.

We were invited for dinner at a fancy hotel, so we went. Suits aplenty I’ll tell you that. The meal and the evening in general was a delight. Chog Zoo’s combined volume of hair accounted for 95% of the total hair in the entire hotel. Which means that one day, we’ll probably go bald too! I think you have to be rich to be bald though, so all I can say, I may never be bald…but I’ll die trying!

Big thanks goes out to Lateef Badat over at Northern Lights for our nomination. Thanks babe!

Should’ve gone to Specsavers

Are we allowed to talk about this yet? Probably not. Either way, if you like glasses, and golf, then you’d better get your excited clothes on, because we’ll be throwing both at you very shortly!

Animals On Bikes

This isn’t a poorly named bike company. One day we just realised that a giraffe on a bike looks brilliant, and thus was born a concept for our next creative piece. It’s been a while since we were able to flex the doodle pecks, so look out for this one soon!

Wellington

Well it gives me great pleasure to announce that the Wellington Vs The Flood trilogy is finally complete. Forever in the making, this trilogy spans over half an hour when watched back to back. Hopefully you guys will find the time to check it out. Look forward to shorter, more frequent wellington adventures from now on! arning: not for children (or adults either probably.) Click HERE to just watch part 3, or HERE to view the whole trilogy in a playlist.

Loving Outdoors

Loving Outdoors

It’s been a long time since this project began, but the LO animation is nearly complete. Loving Outdoors is an incredibly innovative company that sells outdoor equipment utilising various social media platforms to create a new user experience. You can watch it now! Yay!

Well, that’s about all for now. It’s sunny outside. Go for a walk or something.
